The Bella Composers Philharmonic, founded by Kaylene Peoples, is dedicated to illuminating the brilliance of female composers through exceptional orchestral performances. As a proud part of the charity organization Composers, our mission is to champion the works of women in the field of composition, past and present, and to foster an inclusive and inspiring environment for future generations of female composers.

in 2019 and 2021, Bella Composers sponsored the first historical International Women Composers Competition in the world, the Artemis Women In Action Film Festival: Women Powered Music. Founder Kaylene Peoples curated this groundbreaking competition, recognizing women from around the globe and their brilliant orchestral works. As a composer herself, Kaylene has paved the way for several burgeoning careers that have benefited from this recognition.

“We strive to bring their music to a wider audience, celebrating diversity and excellence in the arts, and enriching the cultural fabric of our community through the power of symphonic music. By performing and promoting these exceptional works, we aim to inspire and empower future generations of female composers and musicians, ensuring their contributions are recognized and celebrated worldwide.”
